About Us

The Sanchez Foundation is a fund of The Community Foundation formed in 2011 to support a high quality 21st Century Community Learning Program at Alicia Sanchez International School. It is guided by an all-volunteer group of community members, Sanchez faculty members and Sanchez parents and guardians.  The foundation’s work is supported by a broad base of local community organizations.
The Sanchez Foundation envisions transforming lives and strengthening the Alicia Sanchez International School community by breaking the cycle of poverty through supporting innovation in education that develops knowledgeable, open-minded and caring global citizens that are prepared for the 21st Century.

What do we do?

  • Finance programs that are either not funded by the District or receive minimal funding.  These programs include: the Family Resource Center, enrichment programming, technology, music, art, and physical education.
  • Provide teachers and staff with the necessary and appropriate support needed to give exceptional instruction to all of Sanchez’s students.
  • Provide leadership in encouraging and supporting excellence in public education.
